Alan W. Turnage

Alan W. Turnage, 45, of Saco, died Nov. 27, 2009, at Maine Medical Center after a brief illness.
 He was born March 16, 1964, to Paul and Rachel Precourt Turnage.
He graduated from Saco schools and worked at Bath Iron Works for several years, then did odd jobs, painting and carpentry until he became disabled.
 He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports,playing cribbage and being with his family. 
Mr. Turnage is survived by his parents, Paul and Rachel; his grandmother, Irene Turnage; two brothers, Charles and Dwayne and their families; his sister, Barbara, and her family; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, at St. Martha’s Church, Route 1, Kennebunk. A meal will follow the services.
Arrangements were by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.

Charlotte M. Bourgault

Charlotte M. Bourgault, 61, of Biddeford, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born Oct. 13, 1948, in Portland to Dana and Mattie Brooks McKenney.
She graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School in 1966 and also graduated from the University of Southern Maine with an associates degree in liberal arts.
She was employed by F.W. Woolworth in Biddeford for nine years and also worked for Truslow Center in Saco for several years. She later was employed by Head Start in Biddeford for 18 years.
Her hobbies included reading, crafts and going to plays. She also liked to travel to Stonington. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen, in 2008.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Robert E. Bourgault, of Biddeford; her son, Shawn Gaudette and his wife, Danielle, of Saco; her daughters, Tammy Fleurent and her husband, Tony, and Tina Charest and her husband, Andy, all of Biddeford; her stepdaughter, Bobbi Jo Gulledge and her husband, Ray, of Wells; her brother, Warren McKenney of East Granby, Conn.; her sister, Jeannette Mills of Saco; 10 grandchildren, Melinda and Christopher Charest, Denali, Madeline, Isabella and Jada Fleurent, Skyler and Kobe Gaudette and Emilia and Mary Gulledge; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life was Saturday at the Biddeford Eagles.

Francis J. Pictou

Francis J. Pictou Sr., 73, of Biddeford, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Maine Medical Center, Portland, after a brief illness.
 He was born Oct. 3, 1936, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, to John and Lillian (Scoville) Pictou. His family moved in 1952 to Biddeford, where he attended local schools.
In 1958, Mr. Pictou enlisted with the U.S. Navy. He served four years until his honorable discharge in 1962.
On Nov. 24, 1960, he married Joanne N. Durant at St. Joseph’s Church, Biddeford.
He was an avid golfer, and worked on the grounds and buildings at Dunegrass Golf Club, Old Orchard Beach for more than eight years. He also worked as a machinist with Saco Defense for more than 30 years until his retirement in 1998, and with Bates Manufacturing for several years.
He and his wife were parishioners for many years of St. Joseph’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish, Biddeford. Mr. Pictou enjoyed bowling and was also a former softball player for the Biddeford men’s leagues. He also loved to watch football, cheering on his favorite teams, the Biddeford Tigers and the New York Giants.
He is survived by sis wife of almost 50 years, Joanne N. Pictou of Biddeford; two daughters, Shawneen F. Fischer and her husband, Tim, of Biddeford, and Sharisse P.A. Pictou of Biddeford; two sons,  Francis J. Pictou Jr. of Kennebunk and Matthew R.R. Pictou and his wife, Johanna, of Beverly, Mass.; two sisters, Mary Ouellette of Seminole, Fla., and Elizabeth Pentleton of Watertown, Mass.; five grandchildren, Shaylyn, Jacob, Jenna, Noah and Alexa; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Renald F. Bissonnette

Renald F. Bissonnette, 78, of Biddeford, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Seal Rock Health Care Center in Saco after a long illness.
He was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Biddeford to John and Georgianna Lachance Bissonnette and was educated in Biddeford schools.
On July 4, 1957, he married Camilla Godbout at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.
Mr. Bissonnette worked 50 years at Pepperell, West Point Pepperell, West Point Stevens and West Point Home Manufacturing Co. in Biddeford until he retired in 1998. In retirement he volunteered at the Ross Senior Center and helped prepare food for Meals on Wheels.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, the St. Louis Alumni Association and the Biddeford Senior Citizens. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, swimming and was an avid cribbage player.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Bissonnette; his daughter, Rachel Bissonnette; five  brothers and three sisters.
Surviving include his wife of 52 years of Biddeford; four sons, Marc D. Bissonnette and his wife, Lynn, of Biddeford, Bryan A. Bissonnette and his wife, Noelline, of Biddeford, Chistopher P. Bissonnette and his companion, Debra, of Sanford, and Michael D. Bissonnette of Biddeford; two daughters, Patricia I. Sylvain and her husband, Gary, of Biddeford, and Sandra A. Busynski and her husband, Peter, of Limington; three sisters,     Pauline Perkins and Therese Stickles and her husband, Robert, of Saco, and Noella Gilbert and her husband, Armand, of Biddeford; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated last Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford, with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Biddeford.
Memorial donations in Mr. Bissonnette’s name may be made to St. James School, 25 Graham, St., Biddeford, ME 04005.

Rita Fecteau

Rita Fecteau, 85, formerly of Arundel died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Durgin Pines in Kittery after a long illness.
 She was born June 11, 1924, in Baker Lake, New Brunswick, Canada, to Romain and Anna Bouthot Pelletier and was educated in Canada.
On June 2, 1942, she married Fernand Fecteau in St. Jean de la Lanne, Quebec. He died on Oct. 23, 2003.
Mrs. Fecteau moved to the area in 1965. She worked for 23 years at Pepperell Manufacturing Co. and Biddeford Textile Corp. until she retired in 1988.
She enjoyed reading and knitting and was a member of St. Joseph Church, Biddeford.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Fecteau of Wells; two daughters, Collette Lefebvre and her husband, Ralph, of Arundel, and Micheline Goulet and her husband, Andre, of Biddeford; four sisters, Valeda Levesque of Baker Lake, New Brunswick, Gemma Pelletier of Quebec, Quebec, Georgette Michaud of Clair, New Brunswick, and Claudette Levesque of Biddeford; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford, with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Biddeford.
Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.

Jacqueline A. Kramer

Jacqueline A. “Jackie” Kramer, 61, of South Portland died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a long and  courageous battle with cancer.
 She was born July 30, 1948, in Biddeford to Alfred J. and Doris Blow Letourneau.
 She was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School in 1966.
On Aug. 10, 1981, she married Corey Kramer in Kennebunkport.
She began working as an airline stewardess for Northeast Airlines. She later worked seven years with Kennebunk Savings Bank and Maine Bank & Trust. She worked 10 years with Diversified Communications in Portland and last worked three years with Maine Tour Connections in South Portland. Among her interests was enjoyment of her dogs.
Survivors include her husband, of South Portland; three daughters, Julie A. Bonser and her husband, Derek, of Kennebunkport, Kari A. Wright and her husband, Gregg, of Kennebunk, and Jodi L. Kramer of Rowley, Mass.; her mother, Doris Letourneau of Old Orchard Beach; her brother, Robert Letourneau and his wife, Michelle, of Beverly, Mass.; her sister, Peggy Donovan, and her husband, Mike, of Biddeford; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. Entombment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.

Ursula Bedard

Ursula Bedard, 52, of Biddeford died unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Southern Maine Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 13, 1957, in Neustadt, Germany, to Stefan and Kunigunde (Reis) Haras and raised by Mr. and Mrs. Martin. She moved to Buxton in 1978 and then to Biddeford in 1982.
On Jan. 30, 1993, she married Daniel C. Bedard at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.
She last worked with Medical Care Development for the past six years assisting disabled adults lead independent lives in their homes. Previously, she worked with Creative Works Systems, Saco Branch, for 12 years and with Shape Manufacturing for several years.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Good Shepherd Parish, Biddeford, for many years. An avid reader, Ursula liked to peruse English and Victorian novels. She enjoyed long walks, exercise, and searching for buried treasures with her metal detector. She loved spending time with her family and offering her husband plenty of moral support as he ran Seasonal Corner, the family organic farm.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
Survivors include her husband of almost 16 years of Biddeford; four children, Kenny of Australia, Christopher J. Bedard of Biddeford, Jennifer A. Charbonneau and her husband, Chris, of Nashua, N.H., and Michael S. Bedard of Biddeford; her stepdaughter, Cheryl C. Scharping and her fiancé, Patrick A. Sarto, of Biddeford; her stepson, Brian M. Harmon of Biddeford; her brother, Stefan Haras and his wife, Gabi, of Germany; three grandchildren, Hailey, Joshua and Owen; and and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Church, Biddeford. Entombment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
Donations in memory of Mrs. Bedard may be made to Books Revisited, 15 Industrial Park Road, Saco, ME 04072.
