Fran A. Wallace
Fran A. Wallace, 64, of Saco, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at her residence.
She was born on June 11, 1945, in Moncton, Canada, to Earl and Annie Kelley Morton.
Her faith touched every aspect of her life from teaching to missions, care giving, church, family and friends. She was a member of Southcoast Community Church in Scarborough.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl, and one brother, Robert.
Survivors include her mother, Annie Morton and her husband, Bill Wallace. She also is survived by her siblings: Ada Johnson and her husband, Bill; Clarence and his wife, Patsy; Charles and his wife, Ginette; David and his wife, Kerry Lee; Thomas and his wife, Patti; Victor and his wife, Brenda; Samuel and his wife, Angelina; Kenneth and his wife, Paula; Scott and his wife, Myriam; Allan and his wife, Sharon; Peter and his wife, Nadine; also a stepson, Will Wallace and his wife, Nuray; a stepdaughter, Sheri Brinkmann and her husband, Rich; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was Friday at Southcoast Community Church, with burial in Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lottie Moon Christmas Offerings – c/o Southcoast Community Church, 368 Gorham Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.

Laura A. Wood
Laura A. Wood, 47, of Arundel, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1962, in Biddeford, to Nathan A. Grant Sr. and his wife Gloria J. (Dryden) Grant. She was educated in local schools.
Mrs. Wood was employed at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough, and earlier worked at Scarborough Terrace. Laura was a very giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with friends.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Russell C. Wood of Arundel; by her parents, Nathan and Gloria Grant of Lyman; her two sons, Mathew Wood and his wife, Kathline, and Michael Wood, all of Arundel; her daughter, Melissa Wood ,and her fiancé, Arnold Harmon, of Arundel; her stepson, Derek Brichetto of Arundel; two brothers, Nathan A. Grant Jr. and his wife, Shannon, of Dayton and Charlie Grant and his wife, Sherri, of Plymouth; three sisters, Lois Labbe and her husband, Steven, and Lisa Drouin and her husband, Eric, all of Lyman, and Jennifer Grant and her fiancé, Anthony Labelle, of Saco; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was Monday at Cote Funeral Home, Saco.

Douglas O. Rennie
Douglas O. Rennie, 80, of Saco, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, after a three and a-half year battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Montreal, Canada, to John H., and Annie (May) Rennie.
He was educated in Montreal, including four years at John Abbott College. He moved his family to Saco in 1979.
Mr. Rennie was the owner and operator of an engineering firm for most of his life. He was a beloved husband and father and was always supportive. He enjoyed music and played several different instruments.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Jim Rennie, Jack Rennie and George Rennie.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Joan Sidney Rennie and by his son, Jim E. Rennie, both of Saco.
A funeral service was Tuesday at Cote Funeral Home. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
Arrangements were by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
Albert L. Ridley
Albert L. Ridley, 72, of Saco, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1937, in Topsham, to Elmer Ridley and Mathilda Dennis Scamman.
He was a graduate of Thornton Academy, class of 1955, where he lettered in football and track. He attended college at Maine Maritime Academy for two years.
Mr. Ridley served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1959. He was a radar man and operated the post office on an ice breaker that handled postal operations for Task Force 43 to the South Pole.
After the service he worked for Saco Tanning Corp. and Scarborough Downs. He was later employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years. He received an award by the National Safety Council for safe driving and became a member of the Million Mile Club.
He was a 39-year member of Biddeford & Saco Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Camp Ellis Rod & Gun Club and Saco Yacht Club.
His hobbies included bowling, golfing, playing cards and spending time with friends and family. Mr. Ridley was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Saco.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Sheehan Ridley on March 20, 2009.
He is survived by four daughters, Debra Dalton and her husband, James, of Highland Falls, N.Y., Lori Lodge and her husband, Brad, of Lyman, Penny Labbe and her husband, Ken, of North Waterboro and Mary Lou Boucouvalas and her husband, Greg, of Saco; a sister, Anne Scigliano of the U.S. Virgin Islands; six grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin, Thomas, Kristen, Emily and Greg; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Laine; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at Most Holy Trinity Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Saco, with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
