Turn it off, maybe?
A woman called police because she and her intoxicated roommate had been arguing for more than an hour. They told officers they were arguing over a television channel.
Shots reported
A caller reported hearing seven gunshots in the area of Biddeford Municipal Airport. The caller said the shots sounded like they came from a small-caliber gun. A responding officer could not locate anyone in the area.
Something in the air
A caller reported her downstairs neighbors were smoking marijuana. She said the smoke was coming into her apartment, making her vomit. Police said there was no evidence the neighbors were smoking.
Just sticks, no stones
A caller reported children were running into the road to hit cars with sticks. Police found a 4-year-old child was involved and the mother said she would address the child’s behavior.
Wild, wild horses
A subject called to report two horses running down the middle of Route 111.
An engrossing read
A caller reported he was locked in the Dyer Library. He was upstairs reading when they the library closed, and he was left inside.
Make a wish
A caller reported looking out his window and seeing a ball of fire from the sky in the area of Clifford Park. The caller said he wasn’t crazy and had not been drinking. He described the sight as a bright white light with flames. The officer believed it was a shooting star.
Sounds of the season
A caller reported hearing strange noises from the rooftop – something banging or hitting. Police checked the roof to find ice freezing.
Silly kids
A store employee reported juveniles on bikes were using silly string all over the outside of the building. Police were unable to locate the juveniles.
