Biddeford native running for sheriff
Craig Gagne of Springvale has announced his candidacy for sheriff of York County.
Gagne is a former member of the Coast Guard, Marine Corps and is a retired sergeant with the York County Sheriff’s Department. He now holds a management position with Triple Canopy, a company that provides high-threat security protection for the U.S. State Department and U.S. embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
Gagne, a lifelong resident of York County, was raised and educated in Biddeford and Saco. He and his wife, Amy, raised four children in Biddeford and Waterboro before moving to Springvale two years ago.
Gagne will participate in a “meet the candidate” fundraising event at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 29, at the Nasson Community Center in Springvale. The event will feature comedian Juston McKinney. Tickets are $20 and are available at www.craiggagnesheriff.com or gagnesheriff2010@gmail.com.
