Police Notes

From Biddeford police logs.

Wrong stop

A woman caller told police that she lost her vehicle the previous night and couldn’t find it the next day. She said she drove it home and that was the last place she thought she saw it.

The car later was discovered a couple blocks away at her friend’s house.

Shhhh ...

Police warned a man for disorderly conduct after they responded to a complaint of noisy neighbors.  Police reported he was praying very loudly and asked him to keep his voice down.

It’s in the mail

A woman reported an unknown person used her Social Security number to obtain an account in her name and run up a $200 bill with a long-distance phone carrier.

Police determined a collection agency was after her to pay an old phone bill.

In a fog

Police responding to a report of a smoke detector alarm found residents getting ready for a party … with their fog machine.

iMad

Police responding to a report of a youth out of control and walking around outside learned he was mad his mother had taken his iPod.

Just practicing

Police following up on a 911 call discovered a 7-year-old boy had received a pamphlet from school about 911 the week before and made the call.

Lost and found

A manager at McDonald’s reported that someone walked into the restaurant, left two city street signs on the counter and left.

A police officer found the street sign for Scotland Drive was covered in dirt and speculated someone simply dropped it off.

Which way out?

A caller from Granite Street reported a skunk walking in circles around the neighborhood.
