Kimberly Brimecombe

 

Kimberly A. Brimecombe, 46, of Biddeford, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough.

  She was born Sept. 28, 1963, in Portland to Carl B. and Lanette K. (Gaines) Kitchin and was educated in South Portland schools.

On June 27, 2008, she married James Small in Tampa, Fla.

Until her illness, she was employed at Sagoma Technologies in Biddeford.  She enjoyed the outdoors, especially taking nature walks and being on the beach.

Survivors include her husband, James Small of Biddeford; her mother, Lanette Hillock of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Michael Brimecombe and his wife, Michelle, of Muncie, Ind., and Anthony Small of Biddeford; her daughter, Alicia Berry of Biddeford; and her brother, Stephen Kitchin of Scarborough.

Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.

 

Celia Ann Durfee

 

Celia Ann Durfee, age 72, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born July 17, 1937, in Boston to the late Louis and Eleanor (Piermattie) Recchia.

She attended parochial schools in the Boston area as a girl.

Throughout most of her life, she was employed as a certified nurse’s assistant, mostly in the East Boston area.

She enjoyed music, dancing, playing cards and playing pool.

She was predeceased by her siblings Mario, Avio, Josephine, Mary and Lillian.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Durfee of Biddeford; her daughter, Denise DiThomas of Quincy, Mass.; her brother, Remo Recchia of East Boston; and three grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, Saco.

 

Sr. Corinne Sirois

 

Sr. Corinne Sirois, 87, formerly known as Sr. Charles Regis, died Friday, March 12, 2010, at St. Joseph Convent.

She was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Frenchville. She was the fourth child in a family of 13 children born to Charles Sirois and Olive Sirois.

She attended Frenchville Elementary School and Madawaska High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in science from the University of Maine in Fort Kent.

In 1941 Sr. Corinne entered the Congregation of the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Biddeford, also known as the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec. After her initial religious training, she studied for a year at the Good Shepherd Scholasticate in Quebec City.

Her teaching career of 48 years took her to St. Ann School in Lawrence, Mass., St. Joseph School in Biddeford and in Old Town, but mostly in northern Maine in Caribou, Hamlin and Van Buren, where she excelled as a kindergarten teacher.

When she retired from teaching, she continued to serve the community as bookkeeper and receptionist. A person of artistic ability, she worked for the Bay View Gift Shop until, for reasons of health, she retired to St. Joseph Convent Infirmary.

She is survived by one sister, Theresa Signorile of Stamford, Conn., and five brothers, Valere, Robert, Claude, Hermel and Charles, all of Madawaska.
