Dorothy T. McIntyre
Dorothy T. McIntyre, 84, of
Biddeford died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Seal Rock Health Care Facility in
Saco after a short illness with cancer.
She was born Oct. 6, 1925,
in Biddeford to Emile and Maria Richard Caouette and attended Biddeford
schools.
Mrs. McIntyre worked 10
years in area shoe shops and eight years at Saco River Health Facility and
Trull Nursing Home. She retired in 1990.
She enjoyed the Boston Red
Sox, old movies and music, playing cards with friends and shopping.
She was a member of St.
Joseph Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford.
Survivors include her son,
Leonard McIntyre and his wife, Patti Lynne, of Bridgton; her daughters, Cynthia
Kitzmiller and her husband, Roger, of Oakland, Md., and Cheryl Palmer and her
husband, Wayne, of Arundel; two sisters, Lillian Noel of Waterboro and Lorraine
Nadeau of New Britain, Conn.; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Romeo Grenier
Romeo “Meo” Grenier, 98, of
Biddeford, died of natural causes Saturday, March 6, 2010, while under Beacon
Hospice care at St. Andre Health Care Facility.
He was born Aug. 10, 1911,
in D’Israeli, Quebec, to Hormidas and Rosanne Bolduc Grenier.
Meo, as he was known to
many, immigrated with his family to the Biddeford area in 1923 and lived here
since.
He was known as a craftsman
in the local shoe industry and worked at Kesslen and Sebago Moc for most of his
career. Mr. Grenier was purported to be the oldest living member of l’Union
Saint Jean Baptist d’Amerique, which was the location of many memorable family
celebrations and where he was known as a formidable cribbage player.
He was predeceased by his
sisters Florence Grenier and Irene Nadeau and his brothers, Lionel, Robert and Joseph.
Survivors in include his
wife of 69 years, Lena Auger Grenier; his sons, Roger of Hickory, N.C., Dennis
of Danvers, Mass., Claude of Old Orchard Beach and Bernard of New York City;
two daughters, Florence Martin of Biddeford and Priscille Picard of Saco; 21
grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Yvonne Lynch of
Portland, Rita Bowden of Cape Elizabeth and Mariange Dumont of Biddeford
Leo Paul Beaulieu
Leo Paul Beaulieu, 83, of
Biddeford, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in
Scarborough after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 6, 1926, in Biddeford to Cyrille and
Josephine Henaire Beaulieu and was educated at St. Joseph School.
Mr. Beaulieu served in the
U.S. Army in 1946 and 1947. On
June 20, 1953, he married Gabrielle Martel at St. Andre Church in Biddeford.
He was employed at West
Point Pepperell for 29 years and Biddeford Textile for 18 years, and retired in
1989.
Mr. Beaulieu was a
parishioner of St. Andre Church. He enjoyed reading, swimming and watching
sports.
He was predeceased by three
brothers, Robert, Raymond and Ernest Beaulieu and two sisters, Aurore Belanger
and Olinette Roberge.
Survivors include his wife
of 56 years, Gabrielle Beaulieu of Biddeford; three daughters, Linda Roberts
and her husband, Fred, of Lyman, Patricia Abbott and her husband, Donald, of
Buxton, and Virginia Cadorette and her husband, Donald, of Biddeford; a son,
Steven Beaulieu and his wife, Anne, of Lyman; two sisters, Lucille Ruel and
Lucienne Janelle, both of Biddeford; eight grandchildren, six
step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Joel A. Potvin
Joel A. Potvin, 51, of
Biddeford, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Southern Maine Medical
Center.
He was born Nov. 1, 1958, in
Biddeford to Albert and Patricia Potvin.
He grew up in Biddeford and graduated in 1977 from Biddeford
High School, where he excelled at academics and sports – football, basketball
and baseball. He played football
and graduated from Colby College in 1981.
He was a member of the Lambda Chi fraternity at Colby.
Mr. Potvin worked eight
years at Ventron in Danvers, Mass., and he recently celebrated his 20th
anniversary at Evonik-Cyro LLC in Sanford.
On Oct. 15, 1982, he married
his high school sweetheart, Marie LeBlond. Together, they raised two children, Matthew and Ashley. Mr.
Potvin never missed a sporting event of his children, and was heavily involved
in youth sports in Biddeford. He volunteered as a coach and an umpire.
Mr. Potvin loved all sports
and he took enormous pride in his home, especially his lawn. He and his wife
loved to entertain and their home was the hub of family gatherings. He was a member of St. Louis Alumni,
Biddeford Youth Hockey Association and the Biddeford Athletic Association.
He was predeceased by his
father, Albert A. Potvin, in 2003.
Survivors include his wife
of 27 years, Marie, and his two children, Matthew and Ashley, all of Biddeford;
his mother, Patricia Potvin of Biddeford, two brothers, Tony of Old Orchard
Beach and Timothy of Revere, Mass.; three sisters, Lisa Potvin of Colorado
Springs, Colo., Nicole Potvin of Saco and Stephanie Malish (Troy) of San
Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Alice L. Montembeau
Alice L. Montembeau, 84, of
Biddeford died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at York Manor.
She was born Sept. 19, 1925, in Biddeford to Ernest O. and
Amanda Mercier Montembeau and was educated in Biddeford schools.
Ms. Montembeau worked three
years at Sisters of the Presentation of Mary at St. Andre School in Biddeford.
She worked 26 years at Pepperell Manufacturing Co. and 10 years with Biddeford
Textile Corp. of Biddeford. She retired in 1987.
She enjoyed knitting,
crocheting, traveling and family gatherings at her home at Christmas time. She
was a member of St. Andre Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford.
Survivors include several
nieces and nephews.

Joseph Bouchard
Joseph “Butch” Bouchard, 73,
of Lyman, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House,
Scarborough, after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Leominster, Mass., to Ernest
and Florida (Babineau) Bouchard.
In 1954, he enlisted with
the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. He served until his honorable discharge
in 1957.
Mr. Bouchard worked at
Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for more than 17 years until he retired in 1994.
He was predeceased by a
sister, Jeanette Aubeauchon.
Survivors include his wife
of more than 50 years, Sylvia (Laviolette) Bouchard of Lyman; two daughters,
Jane Fecteau of Kennebunk and Rolanne Calderwood and her husband, Andrew, of
Lyman; two sons, Travis Bouchard of Kennebunk and Eric Bouchard and his wife,
Terry, of Waterboro; a sister, Loretta Anderson and her husband, Andy of
Leominster, Mass.; four grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces
and nephews
