Obituaries
Cecile L. Borduas, 84, of Saco died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at St. Andre Health Care Facility in Biddeford after a long illness with cancer.
She was born July 7, 1926, in Waltham, Mass., to Pierre H. and Regina Bergeron Lemay and was educated in Biddeford schools.
On Sept. 4, 1944, she married Jean Paul Borduas in St. Andre Church in Biddeford. He died Sept.5, 1995.
Mrs. Borduas worked more than 30 years as a clerk in local department stores. She last worked three years at the Biddeford School Department in the cafeteria at Kennedy School. She retired in 1990.
Mrs. Borduas was a Gold Star Mother, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 26 in Biddeford, a member of AARP and St. Joseph Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford.
She was preceded in death by her son Raymond A. Borduas on June 4, 1968.
Survivors include one son, Roger L. Borduas and his wife, Denise, of Buxton; four grandchildren, seven great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.
Maria L. Boutet
Maria L. Boutet, 84, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Portland Center for Assisted Living.
She was born July 14, 1926, in Canada to Arthur and Rose Anna Gobeil Paquette.
She moved to Saco in 1933 from Thetford Mines in Canada.
She was employed for many years by Pepperell Manufacturing and Bates Manufacturing in Biddeford. In 1983, she retired from Shape Manufacturing in Biddeford.
Mrs. Boutet was a member of the Open Door and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She also was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and Old Orchard Beach Senior Citizens.
She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Saco.
Mrs. Boutet was preceded in death on July 18, 2002, by her husband and on Feb. 28, 2010, by her son Urbain L. Lariviere; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Leopold R. Lariviere Jr. of Saco; two brothers, Andre Paquette of Colorado and Paul Paquette of Biddeford; two sisters, Jean Boisvert of Biddeford and Claire St. Ours of Biddeford; and three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Doris A. Guay
Doris Antoinette Guay, 88, of Pelham, N.H., and formerly of Biddeford, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born Nov. 2, 1922, in Biddeford to Philippe and Marie Anna (Doyon) Remillard and was educated at St. Joseph School in Biddeford.
On Oct. 24, 1942, she married Paul L. Guay. Mrs. Guay worked at a machine shop in Somersworth, N.H., during World War II, was employed by Pepperell Manufacturing and also was a shoe stitcher at Bruce Shoe Co. for 18 years.
She enjoyed crocheting, doing word searches and watching “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy.” She especially loved to spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Roland Remillard; and her grandson, Robby Harrison.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurette E. Guay of New Hampshire with whom she resided; her grandson and three great-grandchildren.
