Hugo Lozada

 

Hugo Lozada, 62, of Biddeford, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born May 28, 1948, in Colombia, South America, to Heriberto and Arcelia Lozada.

He married Maria Perez-Barragan on March 19, 1980, in Colombia and relocated to Biddeford during the 1990s. He became a U.S. citizen in 2002 and brought his wife to Maine in 2005.

Mr. Lozada worked as a machine operator at J.J. Nissen, Interstate Brands, in Biddeford for more than 13 years and left recently for health reasons.

He was a family man who loved to spend time with his wife and children. He enjoyed playing and watching soccer and going to the beach. He also enjoyed reading, especially perusing the Bible.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Maria Perez-Barragan and three daughters, Liliana, Maria and Lina Lozada, all of Biddeford

Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.

 

Monique Longmore

 

Monique Longmore, 53, of Saco, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 18, 1957, in Southington, Conn., to Adrien and Helene Doyon Perreault. She graduated from Thornton Academy.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family, listening to music, drawing and watching soap operas. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Adrien Perreault.

Survivors include her mother, Helene Doyon Rousselle; three sons, Scott Longmore of Saco, William Longmore of Old Orchard Beach and Erik Longmore of Saco; her brother, Paul Rousselle of Biddeford; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.

 

Eleanor M. Methot

 

Eleanor M. Methot, 73, of Biddeford, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Southern Maine Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 30, 1937, in Biddeford, to James and Lucy (Lamb) Nicholas. She was educated in Biddeford schools and received her G.E.D. through Biddeford Adult Education.

On July 15, 1963, she married Maurice Methot in Connecticut.

She worked as a young woman at local shoe shops and textile mills. She later worked at Fiber Materials Inc. for 12 years and was last employed for 15 years by Maine Cleaners.

After her retirement, she enjoyed helping her son at Jaky’s Market. She loved following the New York Yankees, playing beano and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Methot was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Methot, in July 1980 and by two sisters, Joan O’Brien and Jean Nicholas.

Survivor include her children, Cheryl Methot, Michelle Nielsen and her husband, Craig, and Maurice Methot and his wife, Cara, all of Biddeford; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter, William and Michael Nicholas, all of Biddeford; three sisters, Virginia Bergeron and Kathy Eisenhaure, both of Biddeford, and Debbie Ouellette of West Suffield, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.

 

Vicky L. Ouellette

 

Vicky L. Ouellette, 52, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 10, 2011, at her home in Old Orchard Beach.

She was born Aug. 10, 1958, in Portland to George and Mildred (Oliver) Dyer.

She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother, who loved family holidays. She enjoyed going to the beach and lake, collecting and making crafts.

Survivors include her son, Donald Brown, of Lyman; her daughter Lisa Morin and her husband, Guy, of Lyman; two brothers, George and Frederick Dyer, both of Florida; four sisters, Patricia Chambers and her husband, Philip, of Saco, Laura Osborne and her husband, Frederick, of Sanford, Cylinire Dyer of Florida and Donna Hawkes of Gray; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.

 

Jeannette A. Bergeron

 

Jeannette A. Bergeron, 88, of Lyman, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.

She was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Canada to Anselm and Azilda Picard Paquin. She was educated in Saco schools.

Mrs. Bergeron married her husband, Leo, on April 27, 1946.

She was employed by Bates Manufacturing in Biddeford for 15 years and several years at Westland Shoe in Biddeford. She later worked at Westpoint Pepperell in Biddeford and retired in 1985 from Herman Shoe in Scarborough.

She loved spending summers at Granny Kent Pond in Shapleigh with her family and enjoyed going shopping, playing cards and doing word-search puzzles.

Mrs. Bergeron was a parishioner of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Saco.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leo R. Bergeron, on Aug. 6, 2008; two brothers, Henry and Gerald Paquin; and one sister, Juliette Fecteau.

Survivors include one daughter, Rachel Chretien, and her husband, Ron, of Lyman; one brother, Emilien Paquin of Old Orchard Beach; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
