Lorraine P. Bouffard, 80, of Biddeford died Monday, July 11, 2011, at her home after a long illness.
She was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Biddeford to Emile and Laura Bernier Poirier and was educated in Biddeford schools and at Stella Maris Boarding School.
Mrs. Bouffard worked more than 15 years at Pepperell Manufacturing Co. in Biddeford. She and her family owned and operated the Normandie Hotel in Old Orchard Beach for more than 40 years. She enjoyed the Canadian tourists and loved to interact with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She also enjoyed knitting and playing Bingo.
Survivors include Lionel A. Bouffard of Saco; two sons, Roger M. Bouffard of Arundel and Michael L. Bouffard and his wife, Melanie, of Old Orchard Beach; two brothers, Normand Poirier and his wife, Connie, of Biddeford; two sisters, Donald Poirier and his wife, Madeleine, of Biddeford; two sisters, Jeannine Poissant of Arundel and Priscilla Fecteau and her husband, Paul, of Middletown, Conn.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Raymond E.
Montembeau
Raymond E. Montembeau, 56, of Biddeford, died of natural causes Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his home.
He was born June 27, 1955, in Biddeford to Real J. and Rachel Lauzon Montembeau. He was educated a 1973 Biddeford High School graduate.
Mr. Montembeau did masonry work for a few years. He also worked 10 years at West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Co. and Biddeford Textile Corp. in Biddeford. He last worked 20 years at Spencer Press in Berwick.
He enjoyed local and professional sports and loved to play cribbage with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, of Biddeford; two sisters, Susan Jewett and her husband, Thomas, of Virginia and Joanne Vetterline and her husband, Richard, of Standish; one niece and three nephews.

Louis A. Bernier
Louis A. Bernier, 71, of East Waterboro, died surrounded by his family Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Maine Medical Center in Portland following a brief illness.
He was born May 16, 1940, in Biddeford to Bernardin and Emerilda (Chouinard) Bernier. He attended local schools. He served in the U.S. Army.
On Jan. 14, 1966, he married Jeanne R. Elie in Biddeford.
Mr. Bernier worked for General Motors as a transmission technician for 40 years Following his career as a technician he was a self-employed carpenter until his retirement in 1990. He continued to work from his home garage until his death.
He loved going to car shows and was especially proud of his 1958 Chevy Biscayne, for which he won many trophies. He also enjoyed drag racing at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers and son-in-law Neil Glancy in 2000.
Survivors include his wife 44 years, Jeanne R. Bernier; two daughters, Doris Glancy of East Waterboro and Marie McLaughlin of Springvale; one son, Louie Bernier and his wife, Crissy, of Sanford; one brother, Lionel Bernier and his wife, Connie, of Saco; one sister, Claire Bedard and her husband, Walter, of Tucson, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

Edna R. Cacciapaglia
Edna R. (Pariseau) Cacciapaglia, 88, of Plainville, Mass., and formerly of Biddeford, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, Mass., surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Whitinsville, Mass., to Arthur J. and Edna Margaret Perry Pariseau.
She was raised and educated in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine. She graduated from Thornton Academy in 1941. She also earned a bachelor’s degree at Regis College in 1945 and later in her career earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in special education from Stonehill College.
Mrs. Cacciapaglia was a lifelong educator. She taught special needs children at the Jackson School in Plainville and taught first grade at the former Dominican Academy in Plainville. She was employed by the town of North Attleboro for more than 20 years as a learning disability teacher at the School Street School.
Mrs. Cacciapaglia was a member of the Wrentham Sportsman Club. She was an avid reader and liked playing cards, traveling and taking many photos. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick J. Cacciapaglia, on June 28, 2008; her son Patrick; two sisters, H. Frances Ouellette and Claire Neveux; and one brother, Richard Pariseau.
Survivors include five sons, Michael Cacciapaglia and his wife, Teri, of Plainville, Mass., Peter Cacciapaglia and his wife, Trisha, of Wrentham, Mass., Anthony Cacciapaglia and his wife, Joanne, of Arundel, Robert Cacciapaglia of Plainville, Mass., and Stephen Cacciapaglia and his wife, Andrea, of Plainville, Mass.; one daughter, Patricia Desrochers and her husband, John, of North Attleboro, Mass.; one brother, Phillip Pariseau of Hampton, N.H.; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Marcel A. Gendron
Marcel A. Gendron, 83, of Old Orchard Beach, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born March 7, 1928, in Biddeford to George and Aurore Dube Gendron and was educated in Biddeford schools.
On Nov. 23, 1946, he married Jeannette Gagne at St. Margaret Church in Old Orchard Beach.
Mr. Gendron worked 12 years at Bates Manufacturing Co. in Saco, 14 years at Pepperell Manufacturing Co. in Biddeford and 18 years at Noyes Tire in Biddeford and Westbrook. He retired in 1991.
In retirement he worked as a school crossing guard in Old Orchard Beach and at St. André Health Care Facility in Biddeford.
He was a member of the Old Orchard Beach Knights of Columbus and St. Margaret Church in Old Orchard Beach, where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He enjoyed local and professional sports and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years of Old Orchard Beach; one son, Norman Gendron and his wife, Carrie, of Saco; six daughters, Doris Babbidge and her husband, John, of South Paris, Lucille Poisson and her husband, George, of Lyman, Jeannine Bartlett and her husband, Rick, of Portland, Suzanne Greenlee and her husband, Rick, of Old Orchard Beach, Irene Bible and her husband, Ondis, of Lisbon, Tenn., and Lillian Christy and her husband, Bob, of Scarborough; one brother, Gerard Gendron and his wife, Eva, of Biddeford; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Blanche Vaillancourt
Blanche Vaillancourt, 93, of Saco and formerly of Biddeford, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at her home.
She was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Biddeford to Joseph and Eva (Wright) Guillette and was educated locally.
On July 4, 1936, she married Henry J. Vaillancourt at St. Andre Church.
Mrs. Vaillancourt was employed for a few years at the Pepperell and Bates mills and also worked in local shoe shops for several years before her retirement in 1979.
She was a former member of St. Andre Church and Biddeford Senior Citizens. She volunteered at St. Andre church and enjoyed homemaking and landscaping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Vaillancourt, on Feb. 8, 1990; an infant daughter, Constance, in 1940; her sisters, Laurette Lemieux in 1995 and Cecile Picard in 2010; and three half-brothers, Conrad Guillette in 1967, Amedee Guillette in 1964 and George Guillette in 1974.
Survivors include three daughters, Priscilla Busch and her husband, Edwin, of Bedford, Mass., Joan Mercer (widow of William) of Elizabeth City, N.C, and Frances Bergeron and her husband, Brian, of Old Orchard Beach; two sons, Joseph Vaillancourt and his wife, Priscilla, of Wolcott, Conn., and Maurice Vaillancourt of Southington, Conn.; two sisters, Pauline Morin and her husband, Gerard, of Biddeford and Stella Curit of Saco; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

June C. Proctor
June C. Proctor, 74, of Biddeford, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.
She was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Portland to Paul and Doris Thistlewood Malloch. She was a Scarborough High School graduate.
Mrs. Proctor was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, making doll houses and doll clothing. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, animal shelters and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
She was preceded in death by three siblings.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Proctor of Moscow; one daughter, Tammy-Jo Proctor of Biddeford; and three grandchildren.

N. Paul Paquette
N. Paul Paquette, 91, of Biddeford, died Monday, July 4, 2011, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.
He was born Oct. 17, 1919, in St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada, to Arthur and Rose Anna Gobeil Paquette. He was educated in Canada, Biddeford and Saco. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
After the war he attended Kansas City Watch Repairing School in Kansas City, Mo. He worked two years at Tommy’s Jewelry Store in Kansas City, Mo., and last worked 33 years at Bendix Corp. He retired in 1983.
Mr. Paquette enjoyed playing cards and was a member of St. Joseph Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford.
Survivors include two sons, Paul A. Paquette and Michael L. Paquette, both of Joplin, Mo.; one brother, Joseph Paquette of Arvoda, Colo.; two sisters, Jeanne Boisvert of Biddeford and Claire St. Ours of Biddeford; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
