Yvonne Nolette

 

Yvonne Nolette, 80, of Biddeford died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough after a long illness.

She was born Jan. 9, 1931, in Biddeford to Edmond and Aurore Lamirande Dube and was educated in Biddeford schools.

On April 26, 1958, she married Jean Maurice Nolette at St. Andre Church in Biddeford.

Mrs. Nolette worked several years at Nike Shoe in Saco and retired in 1989. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking.

She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years of Biddeford; two sons, Albert L. Nolette and his wife, Joanne, of Biddeford and Michael C. Nolette and his wife, Marybeth, of Saco; two brothers, Robert Dube of Biddeford and Noel Dube and his wife, Ellen, of Saco; three sisters, Laurette Beaudoin of Biddeford, Irene Chretien and her husband, Urbain, of Biddeford and Cecile Bisson and her husband, Rene, of Biddeford; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.

 

Kenneth G. Hutchins

 

Kenneth G. Hutchins, 72, formerly of Kennebunk, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Southridge Living Center in Biddeford.

He was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Kennebunk to Harland and Daisey Wildes Hutchins. He was educated in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport schools.

On Sept. 7, 1979, he married Jan Durette in Biddeford. She died Nov. 22, 1994.

Mr. Hutchins worked for Roger Fiber Co. in Kennebunk for several years, K&E for several years and worked more than 20 years for Shape Inc. in Biddeford, Kennebunk and Sanford until he retired in 1998.

He enjoyed local and professional baseball and football, the New York Yankees and New York Giants.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Hutchins, in 2003.

Survivors include his son, Craig S. Hutchins and his wife, Roxann, of Wells; one daughter, Tina Cole and her husband, Robert, of Wells; one brother, Ralph Hutchins and his wife, Teresa, of West Kennebunk; one sister, Violet Merrill of Arundel; two granddaughters, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.

 

Liam A. Mahaney

 

Liam Alexander Mahaney, 5, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at his family’s home in Jackman.

He was born Nov. 13, 2005, in Biddeford to Gary P. and Christina (Boudreau) Mahaney.  He moved with is family from Biddeford to Jackman in January 2010.

Liam had an addicting laugh and shared it with his family everyday and especially shared in the family’s joke about “stinky things.” He loved spending time with his parents and was inseparable from his younger sister and “partner in crime,” Grace, who lovingly called him “The-Baby.” He loved watching “Toy Story” and rooting for his hero, Buzz Lightyear. Liam was looking forward to attending kindergarten in the fall.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lorraine Boudreau, in 2011; his paternal grandmother, Joanne Mahaney, in 1989; his maternal grandfather, Dominick Boudreau Sr., in 1988, and his great-aunt, Susan Lovely, in 2010.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Christina Mahaney; his siblings, Preston, Grant and Grace, all of Jackman; his maternal great-grandparents, Maurice and Therese Mercier of Saco; his maternal grandfather, Normand Lamirande of Biddeford; one uncle, Dominick Boudreau of Saco; two aunts, Shari Ross of Virginia and Shannon Fleurant and her husband, Brian, of Biddeford; his great-aunt, Sandra Green, and her husband, Gary, and his great-uncle, Dana Lovely, all of Cumberland; and many cousins.

Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.

 

Joshua J. Doyon

 

Joshua Joseph Doyon, 39, of Dayton, died Monday, July 18, 2011, in Saco.

He was born March 21, 1972, in Biddeford to Roland J. and Rita A. Danforth Doyon.

Mr. Doyon was a 1990 graduate of Thornton Academy. He also graduated top of his class from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering.

He was employed by Vought Engineering in Dallas, Texas, for seven years and was awarded a software patent.

He enjoyed traveling and moved back to Maine to be with his family in 2010. He continued his career as proprietor of iEarthhero, LLC, an information technology company.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew, in 1977.

Survivors include his paternal grandmother, Lorraine Doyon of Saco; his parents, Roland J. and Rita A. Danforth Doyon of Dayton; his brother, Aaron J. Doyon of Biddeford; his sister, Rebecca L. Hebert and her husband, John, of Dayton; one niece, one nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Arrangements were by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.

 

Rose V. Goulet

 

Rose Vilia Goulet, 95, of Biddeford, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Southridge Living Center in Biddeford.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1916, in Biddeford to Joseph and Adelia (Sevigny) Goulet and lived in Biddeford her entire life.

She was employed at area shoe shops as a stitcher and sold Avon products until her retirement in 1981. She was a sales representative for 50 years and received many honors from the company. In her spare time she loved to sew and make clothes.  She also took upholstery classes and reupholstered furniture for family and friends.

Miss Goulet dedicated her life to her family and was there to help raise many nieces and nephews. She was a loving godmother and cared deeply for her family.

She was a communicant of St. Andre Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Emile, Oscar, Leodore and Esdras “Ted”; and three sisters, Medora Jacques, Rose Alma Lange and Claire Hotin.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford.
