Gloria M. Lemay
Gloria M. Lemay, 85, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at her residence.
She was born in Jonesport on Oct. 27, 1925, to Cpt. John and Katie Beal. She graduated from Jonesport High School.
Gloria attended Trull School of Nursing in Biddeford and became certified as a licensed practical nurse.
She was employed by Saco Osteopathic and Webber Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1979.
Mrs. Lemay was past president of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 7997. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
She also enjoyed crafts, bingo and puzzles and was an avid bowler in her younger years.
Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.
Mrs. Lemay was a parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, James, M. Lemay, Dec. 6, 2007, and by two brothers, Nolan and Roger, and a sister, Dorothy Alley.
She is survived by two sons, James Michael Lemay of Auburn and John F. Lemay and his wife, Candy, of Old Orchard Beach; two daughters, Brenda L. Lemay of Arundel and Lettie B. Maddan and her husband, Eric, of Lewiston; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and one special niece, Lanta.

Suzanne M. L’Heureux
Suzanne M. L’Heureux, 61, formerly of Biddeford, died unexpectedly Aug. 31, 2011, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born Sept. 9, 1949, in Portland to James Henry and Gilberte Arlene (Labbe) Murphy Sr. She was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated in 1968 from Biddeford High School. She then attended vocational school at Andover College.
On April 19, 1975, she married Leo E. L’Heureux in Old Orchard Beach.
Surviving are her husband, Leo L’Heureux, of Denmark; two sons, Eric Paul L’Heureux of Indiana and Christopher L’Heureux and his wife, Cheryl, of Dayton; one daughter, Malissa Gagnon and her husband, Chris, of North Waterboro; a brother, James Murphy and his wife, Elaine, of Biddeford; and four grandchildren.

John E. Durfee
John E. Durfee, 67, of Alfred, died Aug. 29, 2011, at Maine General Hospital in Augusta.
He was born in Biddeford Jan. 9, 1944, to Joseph and Anita Deschambeault Durfee. He was educated at Old Orchard Beach schools.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph, and three brothers, Jerome, William and George.
He is survived by his mother, Anita Durfee of Saco; his wife of 41 years, Nancy St. Michel Durfee of Alfred; four daughters, Angela Sanborn and her husband, Raymond, of Alfred, Audrey Turgeon and her husband, Scott, of Alfred, Kandy Hanson and her husband, Kevin, of Alfred and Marcie Westphalen and her husband, Neil, of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Mary Goodman and Roger Lavoie of Kennebunkport; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph A. Boissonneault
Ralph A. Boissonneault, 87, of Saco, died Aug. 31, 2011, at his residence.
He was born in Biddeford Jan. 3, 1924, to George and Anna Lantagne Boissonneault. He was educated at St. Louis High School.
Ralph was an aviation electrician in the Navy Air Corps for three years during World War II.
He was a member of St. Jean Baptiste and the Open Door. He was a parishioner of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Saco.
He was predeceased by one brother, Lucien, and two sisters, Rachel Bourassa and Simonne Bean.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gertrude Dubois Boissonneault, of Saco; a son, Richard R. Boissonneault and his wife, Sue, of Saco; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Jane E. Gomes
Jane E. Gomes, 81, of Kennebunk, died peacefully at home Sept. 3, 2011.
She was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Winoski, Vt., to Harold and Faith (Williams) Gleason.
On May 20, 1950, she married James J. Gomes in East Boston. After 55 years of loving marriage, he died April 1, 2006.
Jane retired from Boston’s Registry of Motor Vehicles. Her proudest years were spent as a devoted mother and homemaker. She and her husband retired to Maine in 1989.
She was a parishioner of St. Philip Church in Lyman.
Jane loved boat rides at her home on Wadleigh Pond in Lyman. She liked to read, especially in recent years, and play cards with family and friends. She especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends for many memorable Sunday dinners and family celebrations.
She is predeceased by her husband, James J. Gomes.
Jane is survived by three daughters, Kathleen A. Lamb and her husband, Ken, of Kennebunk, Susan M. DiTomaso and her husband, Arthur, of The Villages, Fla., and Jane E. Bradley and her fiancé, Barron Johnson, of Shapleigh; sisters Margaret Clapp, Patricia Barry and her husband, Lawrence, of Lyman, Faith McLean and Janet Paulo; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Philip’s Church, Good Shepherd Parish, Lyman. Burial will be private.

Irene M. Christensen, 75, formerly of Biddeford, died Aug. 27, 2011, at Evergreen Manor in Saco after a long illness.
She was born in Biddeford Dec. 4, 1935, to Odilon and Aurore Dubois Grenier. She attended Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High School Adult Education Program.
She was predeceased by a son, John A. Snow, in 1996, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are three daughters, Debra A. Lebel and her husband, Ronald, of Biddeford, Kim Myers and her husband, Steve, of Biddeford, Stacy Strickland-Gamash and her husband, Danny, of Saco; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pauline J. Thibodeau
Pauline J. Thibodeau, 91, of Saco, died Sept. 1, 2011, at St. Andre’s Healthcare Facility in Biddeford.
She was born in Biddeford Dec. 23, 1919, to Louis and Diana Tellier Binette. She was educated in Biddeford schools.
Mrs. Thibodeau was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raynald Thibodeau, Aug. 23, 2003; two sons, Ralph and Norman; and two daughters, Lorraine Thibodeau and Priscille Maurice.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Thibodeau of Old Orchard Beach and Raymond Thibodeau and his wife, Marie, of Biddeford; two daughters, Rachel Morrow of Dover, N.H., and Joyce Ouellette and her husband, Harold, of Saco; one sister, Theresa Goudreau of Biddeford; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Andre Caouette Jr.
Andre A. R. Caouette Jr., 37, of West Kennebunk, died Sept. 1, 2011, at Southridge Living Center after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 4, 1973, in Biddeford to Andre A. R. and Bonnie (Wright) Caouette Sr. He was raised by his father and stepmother Marilyn Caouette and graduated from Kennebunk High School.
He enjoyed watching movies, fishing, paintball and playing video games. Mr. Caouette loved his pet cat, Smokey.
He is predeceased by his mother, and by a sister, June Renee Caouette.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Andre A.R. and Marilyn Caouette of West Kennebunk; paternal grandparents Lucien and Renee Caouette of Biddeford; stepsister Tammy Caouette of West Kennebunk; one uncle, three aunts and a nephew.
